We collect your name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We also store job applications and resumes you create within the app.
Your data is used solely to provide the JobNextDoor service — generating AI-powered resumes, cover letters, interview questions, and tracking your job applications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
When you use AI features (Resume Builder, ATS Checker, Cover Letter, Mock Interview, LinkedIn Optimizer), your input text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply. We do not store your AI conversation history beyond your current session.
Your account data and job applications are stored in a Turso (libSQL) database hosted on AWS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We use JWT tokens for session management.
We use a single session cookie (next-auth.session-token) to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected].
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication, rate limiting on API endpoints, and regular security scanning via GitHub Actions (SAST, SCA, DAST).
